Is there a type of catfish that stays kind of small but does a good job of cleaning up the tank bottom ?

Pictus or porthole catfish do well.

Probably gotta mention how small you looking for Fish Bones Fish Bones ?

Im trying to decide on a tank size right now. Im leaning toward a 75 gal. which should allow future expansion into other species later.

What kind of "cleaning up" are you looking for the catfish to do?

when you say cleaning up the tank bottom, what type of fish do you plan to have above the cat (s). the type of detritus makes a difference on what type of cat you would want.

While this may work out accidentally, I thought I'd still mention that, just like any wet pet, catfish also deserves a right and balanced and healthy diet. Some, not saying you would, treat them like garbage disposals, which they are not.

This is just what I was leading up to with my post.

"Small" is pretty subjective. What size do you have in mind?

Edit: Just loaded the earlier replies and realized it's already been asked.
