Cats that could go with oscars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I already got a pim. I'm, thinking some type of shovelnose.

Featherfin catfish (Synodontis Eupterus) are cool looking and get close to 8". There's several Syno cats that would work. Good for cleaning up all that food that comes out of an Oscar's gill yet not a big bio-load like plecs.

as long as you get them small enough they wont outgrow the oscar but not so small that the oscar will eat them... RTC TSN Hybrid Or Lima could all work... Lima would probably be my last choice of the shovel nose... but could probably still work. I had my two oscars in with my RTC and my TSNxRTC hybrid, and just recently moved them in with my TSN as they outgrew the first tank... They have all gotten along swimmingly! :D

Yeah I have syno eurptis to. I am thinking Paroon sharks or TSN!

yeah thats what he said when i got it, he said 4 line pictus. thats why i couldnt find anything about a 4 line pictus. 4 line pim, now i know a positive id. great cat though, get one of those, thats what i recomend you to get with your oscars.

what is your tank size?????????????

you never answered that, its hard to say which fish to get without that knowledge it can vary greatly.

Yup, keep the pim as none of the shovelnoses you want will fit in a 75, way too small, and shovelnoses are pim's btw.

how many oscars do you have, a 75 is not going to hold more than 2 full grown oscars by themselves let alone more tank mates, 75 is pushing it for 2 oscars by themselves

my tsn/rtc and rtc ganged up on two 10 in oscars mainly the hybrid caused the damage ,my rtc is a bit lazy had to lose the o's and that was in my 300gal
