Caught couple crappie sunfish during lunch

I am not sure if these are what are called crappie sunfish?

Than a few of the usual Mayans and a baby gator which took a Mayan and wouldnt let go (same ole ).

Its actually tiny maybe 6 inches tops though looks bigger. I had to unhook it and let it go (good thing I use barbless hooks and carry long nose pliers lol)

No such thing as a " crappie sunfish" those are green sunnies, that gator looks cool!!

I agree with Destroyer, that is a Bluegill, which is a sunfish along with pumpkin seeds, crappie, bass ect.

Thanks . I looked it up after you said that thought crappie were sunfish but see they are not.

BTW a guy from NJ that day caught a BIG tarpon . Only guy to catch one .
