Thanks..... How do you tell the difference between the two of them? And its a 380g do you think he could be housed in there for life its 10x2.5x2.5.... If not its no big deal got to build a pond for some huge cats but thats still a ways away

males have the "eyespot" on the tail...females dont

i think he could live in there for a bit more but im not sure its ideal. my feeling is the tank should be twice the size of the fish at the shortest dimension but that is only my opinion...
