Caught my first Bowfin today!!

haha so should they be dark or light lense?

I like a pair that blocks less light. It helps a ton in low light situations.

I dont even fish w/out polarized glasses anymore. A fish can be 5ft away and w/out the glasses you cant see it. With the glasses...clear as day. You can even pick up a cheap pair from a gas station for like $10...and they'll work fine.

I feel the same way. Polarized glasses are one of the most important pieces of gear that I have, right up there with rods and reels lol.

never caught one, but saw a big male with a ball of fry cruse about 2 feet by the shore while we were camping in killarney. was pretty interesitn to watch. he must have been about 5-7 pounds and about 18-20 inches long. Saw some rednecks casting a giant plug right by his face but daddy bowfin completely ignored them, reminded me of a snakehead
