This looks like a retention pond... one of about a million in Florida. And those ecosystems are far from pure. Rereleasing into a river or lake ochechobee is a little different than a man-made pond. All waterways are not created equal.

He said they were interconnecting canals, and during floods...there you go.

I just mean that they are there now and are becoming native to the area. The natives are dying but not much we can do about it now that the exotics are now established species. I agree that it should not have happened but what can really be done other than to not dump exotics and treat the ones that are there now with respect. Not to mention that the rainforest where the exotics are from is getting destroyed and they may becoming extinct in the future and we should be happy that they are thriving.

Try the brazilian pepper tree...

Stop the demise of the rain forest, don't screw up the rest of the world.

What is your motivation? This is a moot point now. There is no question here. Be as anti law/Christ, as you want. Stop trying to make this kid feel like as if he may have been "kind" of right. He was dead wrong. He was "ALMOST" Not wrong, but we all know, almost only counts in horse shoes, and hand grenades!:lock:

"2 Butterfly peacock bass, only one of which may be 17 inches or longer in total length.

Possession limit is two days' bag limit. It is illegal to transport or possess more than two days' bag limit of fish per licensed angler without a commercial license. Exceptions are fish legally acquired from aqua-
culturists (fish farmers) for use in aquaria for brood stock, pond stocking or properly marked for the market."

They regulate the amount of Peacock Bass you can take so obviously they care about the native waters. If they thought Managuense could make them a good sport fishing market then they would regulate them aswell. BTW Nice catch.

Listen, man. I told you once already, "I'm not trying to make any enemies here". This is a legitimate debate here. You seem to be more focused on attacking me instead of the topic on hand. If you are going to keep that up, then STOP TALKING TO ME.

Furthermore, I am not trying to be anti- Christ here. I told you what I did just to point out my non-biased point of view. While I may not believe in his religion, it was wrong of you to tell him that his religous beliefs are less important that your opinion.

Oh yeah...It's called a PERSONAL MESSAGE for a reason. If I wanted to tell everyone what I told you, I would have posted it in the thread myself. I don't appreciate you broadcasting what I told you personally, to the whole world.:irked:

I broadcasted nothing to anyone. And I am NOT attacking you. This IS a debate, we are obviously on different sides! My comment was in direct reference to what you JUST said. I know what you are getting at, and I mean what I said. Please tell me where I divulged any of our private conversation to "the whole world".....Calm down and debate all you want. I will not heed, and I suggested locking this thread for fear of interactions like this one, that very well COULD get things all riled up.

Irradiating an invasive species all at once is more of a problem then a solution. Anything invasive that has inhabited where it is now, will have to be phased out over time and an all at once fix all is just not a possibility.......
