AH!! NO!
that sucks ass man, what were you feeding?

Thanks Levi - Pellets and thawed out krill. Before anybody asks water params were fine.

Not really trying to figure it out why, I tend to accept things as they come especially since nothing out of the norm or routine has changed with the tank,

just felt like posting a tribute...

I am sorry for your loss.. cannot stand to lose a fish when it especially seems to be no reason..looked so healthy.. :(

Thanks Liz - at least all the other fish in the tank are fine thou...

:)

(at least for now, any other deaths and then I will start an investigation)

yes .. just like anything else sometimes natural death occurs at early age. :(

I know where your head's at.......lost my Texas and my 10" GT this last 2 weeks; Texas was fine at feeding time 2 hrs later on her side at the bottom of the tank... she died next day best i can figure she must have taken a blow to the body and been knocked against the tank glass, when I took her out her body was completely filled with fluid indicating organ failure..totally sucks. Then last Friday my GT wasn't around at feeding time he was hovering at the back of the tank, looked closer...his jaw was obviously broken the side of his mouth ripped. He healed up quite a bit over the next 2 days the swelling went right down, thought he may make a full recovery; but Monday there he was up at the water surface breathing heavy...Tuesday morning dead....Over 2 years I watched him grow from a 2" baby up to a 10" beauty then one silly fight with my S. Daemon and he's dead...still can't believe he's not there....RIP big man......
