I get around
Or my eel killed itself. He got caught in the outlet overnight and didnt find him until the morning. He was stuck good and took alot of pushing to get him free. He lived for around 8 more hours before he passed away:cry:

Sorry for your loss :(

The FX5 switches off for 1 minute every 24 hours to purge air etc, my guess would be that he swam into it during that 60 second down time. My black shark knocked the inlet strainer off my FX5 and my 6 inch albion black shark got sucked in and killed :(
Exactly what I thought.
What probably happened it that he swam in on the left during the off time, and as the water current flowing out the right formed a suction, he then got thrown through. The resulting pressure probably killed him, along with the abdominal stress.
