Yes, I just don't think the thunder would play a big role, because I'm not sure how much vibration they'd get from being inside the tank. It may work, but I can tell you I'm not the one to play thunder sounds to my fish when my dogs will be up all night barking haha. If you could find more info on it somewhere and maybe make a "Polypterus breeding methods" thread that would be pretty awesome.Slightly confused, you mean flash lights and let more flow out of a drip system maybe?
Just thought of this, setup a drip-bar (just made that up I think) to simulate the water disruption that rain would make? Then you'd have constant freshwater coming in and simulating rain, you don't think the vibrations of thunder could play a factor? My thinking when I read that was they would be keyed in by the vibrations not so much the sound itself
