Varanus niloticus, it's the pick of the clutch. Very nice coloration, lots of yellow.

It's a relatively timid specimen, hasn't bitten me or attempted to.

Just as with any Nile Monitors, it's a big and voracious eater, currently feeding on a diet of insects (crickets are his favorite), high protein, low fat supplemented with reptile vitamins and calcium with D3.

It's a captive born specimen and ready for a new home.

$15 + shipping ($30-$50) dependent on location. USPS Express or UPS Express, buyer preference. No trades. Live arrival guaranteed, shipping nonrefundable.

I must clarify that when I say "timid", I mean that this animal has not bitten me, nor has it attempted to.

It doesn't mean that it's "tame" and comes to you when you call, it will huff and puff and tail whip you like any other young monitor. It takes a lot of time and patience before the animal will get comfortable with your presence so don't expect it to be a house cat or something.

I have 4 people lined up to take this monitor, but no definitive answers yet so act quick if you want him.
