Why not take your 29 gal. trade in all your fish and get some nice plants and proper decor, say some wood, or nice bits of rock.

Get a nice group of tetras going in there and a few nice little feature fish, like a small group of corys, or some nice dwarf cichlids.

It will require less maintainence. will look much nicer, be more relaxing to watch and nothing will outgrow it
excellent advice Bruce.... :D

This is sad. i know i would ordinarily not say this but i feel really sorry for cb. he lost his mother. i would go crazy if i lost my mother too. i dont agree with him (on praciticaly anything) but peopl are different.
i feel sorry for cb, his fish, and the flamers on this forum who like picking on him. dont post if its negetive.

what a depressing thread.

CB: fishkeeping seems to be giving you more stress on top of more stress. give it up for awhile and focus on more important things.

Ok, I think CB needs his fish. I can only imagine what he would be doing if he didn't have them to focus on right now. I know that having my fish to come home to everyday and watching them swim around and interact has always taken the edge off, no matter what else was going on in my life.

That being said, he is learning... not always applying his knowledge, and I think he knows this. CB, take bruce's advice. There will always be time for the monsters. See what you can do with some smaller fish and some plants. Get some snails even. Don't give up the hobby I know you love, just scale back and you will stop getting so much crap thrown in your direction.

We are all hoping you do well, believe that.

thanks oscar, and yes fishkeeping is the only way im able to relax and all that jazz.. and i love my oscars so thats why im getting them 2 a pond just for them..
