if i couldnt do WC's but only monthly, i would sell my fish as i couldnt bear to stand the fact that im slowly torchoring my fish to death.

thats what i told her whats she doing to her fish. but she just told me she hasnt changed the water in 3 months of my living there and her fish is doing fine HAH dought that. the JD is stressed the oscar is way to big and slow and teh algea eater AKA plec dont even get me started on that.
So let me get this straight, no fresh water is going into that tank?!...your only filtering out what happens to be floating around in the water then its going straight back into the tank?

C_B, this no water-change thing is total BS. You've got like 70 gallons of water total. 50% WC per week is still only 35 gallons per week, and that much gets used every time someone takes a shower.
