Honestly don't know why some one would want to carry around a concealed weapon. I'll bet statistics show that a lot of weapons used in murder were the owners in situations like this. Not trying to be a dick - but an explaination would be insightful :)

You are horribly wrong on this one. Very few weapon crimes are commited by people who can leagally carry. think of it if you are going to go kill someone are you really going to go get your CCW and let every law enforcment agent know that you have a gun and make it that much easier to trace yourself and the weapon you commited a crime with. All I know is that I would rather carry a gun then be the guy who gets shot b/c he doesn't feel the world is that bad and dies with him mocha latte in his hand.

P.S. the CCW in ohio is super easy. I got abuddy who took it not that long ago and he said all the testing is open book. lol so you'll do just fine as long as you can pass the shooting.

No offense taken and ill give you as best of an explanation as i can:)

I want my ccw because i fully support the law to carry and because people are just screwed up. Everyday you hear about murders, gang related crime/violence, rapists, robberies, etc. I'm not scared of any of that happening to me but it's just nice to know that i can protect myself or someone else if the need arises (which i hope to never have to). "I'll bet statistics show that a lot of weapons used in murder were the owners in situations like this." Statistics actually show that crime rate has gone down in states that support concealed carry. The majority of people that own guns or apply for ccw are good natured responsible people, but yes there are always going to be people that use guns to harm others. You can take away all guns and people will still find a way to murder. Guns arent the problem, people that act off of high emotions and are irresponsible are the ones doing the crime.

Hope that made sense?!?!:)

I have had my Concealed Hand Gun Licenses for several years. I took my test with a 40 cal. glock (32 glock with a glock 23 barrel). In Texas it was passed a few years ago that a person may carry a concealed hand gun in a vehicle. But it is unlawful to carry elsewhere on your person without a licenses.

Personally I say "Good for You"!:headbang2

Concealed Carry permit holders have a LOWER crime rate then law enforcement officers. Also permit holders have thwarted many many MANY more crimes then situations where the permit holder's weapon became part of the problem.

Once you get your license PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Simply having the weapon will not suffice.
