Cement board tank

"Anyway, if you don't intentionally change the color on the font, that is the color it will stay, so just don't mess with the font color and it will look fine for everyone."

Noted.

Another thing is if you write and edit in MS Word, and then copy it here, the dark skin will change the font to white. Unfortunately, there isn't a font color "translator" between the skins after it is once changed.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a waterproof paint like ‘Pond Armor’...

Why not use a 100% epoxy resin system? I simply can't imagine that in a surfing mecca like Australia you would not be able to find epoxy resin.

Even if you can only find surfboard resin that should still work fine on a plywood tank. Of course talk to the manufacturer but I think it will.

I'm guessing it will be significantly cheaper than shipping Pond Armour from the US.

EDIT: I just Googled [australia epoxy resin surfboard] and the second link that came up was the following:

“You said you can't find a waterproofing agent like "Pond Armor", but you are going to coat the concreteboard with a waterproofing agent...?”

Yeah the only one I could find here will only work on cement not wood. I’m leaning towards pond liner now, one less process and same cost.

As for the viewing pane I wondered if it needed a surround on the inside to support it so the glass wouldn’t need to be the full size. Cheers.

Yes, especially if you don't route a groove for the glass in the front side. a picture frame style works best. The weight of the window will let it sag with time.

There are different skins on the site (you can change them in the very bottom left). I've been around since before they made it dark, so I keep it on the light skin. On the dark skin regular typing comes up white and on the light skin, the same typing comes out black (really more of a grey). Anyway, if you don't intentionally change the color on the font, that is the color it will stay, so just don't mess with the font color and it will look fine for everyone. Anyway, hope your project goes well, but I really don't know what it's about.

This sort of thing should be taken care of in a PM, so as not to fragment the thread.

Thank you.

"Why not use a 100% epoxy resin system?"

Cause I thought the paint system was unique, easy and fumeless.

I'll look into the epoxy system again, maybe it was to messy and smelly for my liking but thanks for the tips.

100% Epoxy resins are messy but they are not smelly. I think a lot of people get the pure resins confused with the epoxy paints. Not the same thing.
