Center Glass Brace Broken!

You must drain the tank for the repair because the pressure is already flexing the tank out of shape. It does no good if your repair leaves it flexed out of position.

Also do not use acrylic as above poster replied. It does not bond to silicone strongly enough to hold the pressure. It will just come right apart on you then you would still have to go buy glass anyway.

Just drain, clean away excess silicone and silicone a new piece of glass into place. Take your time and do it right the first time and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks you are right. Better to do it once and the right way then worrying about it holding.
