that centipedes main prey are bats. they hang from the cave wall and strike at a bat that flys past and there venom kills them very quickly. i forget what they are called, i'll find out.

Hard to find live bats, or even frozen bats at the pet stores these days

Lots of good info on centipedes guys, I would have never known any of what I just learned here today , all I knew was they are creepy and my wife is scared to death of even the little guys you see in your basement.

seemed to take a while for the mouse to die. cool though. we came off of holiday once and a bat had somehow gotten into our lounge, and i have to say it was really really cute. i would have kept it, but then, it would probably have been cruel-i dont know how to care for them.
