by a female bristlenose pleco!:irked:

My C.A. tank is in the bedroom and for the past couple days there has been a lot of splashing around at night. My salvini was missing scales, convict same thing. JD and firemouth acting weird.

Today walked in with the clothes basket and caught the little bristlenose b***h sucking on the Salvini! Salvini was trying get away, but the pleco held on tight! Left a good size mark on the Salvini, too!

I took the pleco out and put her in the 29 for now, but I'm freaking out that she may just outright EAT the small rasboras and tetras in there! Anyone had this happed before?

I think you might have better luck posting this in the pleco section. I have had this happen before though but with a common pleco. I guess they just develop a taste for fish sometimes.

Sorry, please move this thread if it's in the wrong place.

i have no proof of this, but i think some plecs are kinda like vultures, in that they may sense illness in other fish and begin to eat them before they accually die

I wasn't worried about it being in the wrong place, just thought you would get some better answers over there. :)

Usually plecos only behave this way when they are starving. If your pleco is fed well and a proper diet he will probabally stop. Plecos will become agressive and canibalistic when hungry.
:iagree:
Try some algae discs or blanched vegetables. That might get him to stop.
