No idea. The last one I owned went from 2" to 7" in a year. This one I don't think has grown at all in the 9 months I've owned it. Eats like a pig as well.

Wow that female esondido is chunky! And I think it's hit or miss for growth rate of robertsoni. A friend used to have a few and they grew very slowly.

Shhhh. You'll hurt her feelings. Females can be quite sensitive on the subject. But yeah, she's a porker. The tank she's in is really dark so she doesn't show the best coloration. When she's in a light tank or stressed, she just POPS. Using a flash also tends to wash out her blues and greens.

Yep, backing off the flash, then fiddling with the white balance in photoshop/lightroom is usually needed to get some of the greens back. I always found the different color changes in carpintis with different lighting conditions to be amazing. When my beast is near the front of the tank, the greens start to glow, since he's mostly lit with ambient room lights. Then if he's further to the back, he shows more blue due to the fluorescent lights. Amazing at how they glow after a water change!

Pretty much the same for the GT I used to own...near the front pane, or being hit with sunlight, and whoa!
