Central american filtration queston

I have a 125 gallon tank with centrals in it ranging in size from 2"- 10" what I would like to know is would my 2 AC 500's be better with 2 sponges or 1 sponge and the rest bio rings. The reason I ask this is my water tests great but I always have particulates in the water. I would love to add another filter with strait mec for polishing but the boss lady says no.

So what would you do ? Thanks in advance.

1 sponge some filter floss and the rest bio rings!

I think two sponges would help.
