Central American plecos

I have read in a few magazines that there are pleco species that are native to Central America, like Panama, but they don't give any info. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so what kind they may be?

I wish I could do the same however I do have the right to call my tanks south american biotope however they're not from the same country, same river/creeks etc, and its nice to see someone interested plecos in central american regions besides livebearer/killifish people
