That looks like a blast. What kind of setup did you use?

Live shiners and circle hooks. Actually, I like to use the dead ones. The results are about the same, but mine don't swim away. Pat and Rita were using lures to try for bass. I spent a lot of time catching panfish (aka fish food) using a tiny hook and bits of shrimp. I gave Rita a small panfish to catch a bass, but she didn't have any luck with it.

Dammit Ive been itching to go back there. Wheres all the bowfin? Was the really big gar still there?

Didnt see the big boy this time. And didn't see many bowfin either. But I'd say at least 50% of the lake surface was covered, so it made it hard. Managed to get one nice looking bowfin on the line and up to the boat, but then it twisted off my hook as I was pulling it in. :(

lol that sucks. Ive been doing a little fishing in the backyard but I havent seen any bowfin lately just bass and crappies. Other than that me and Ash are going to fish mosquito lagoon in our kayaks on the 9th, and Im going to fish indian river lagoon on the 10th and 12th in the yak , then either the 21st or 22nd I going to fish skyway bridge, you and chompers are welcome to come.

awesome...

I'll probably be up for one of the Brevard fishing days.

I let a fish borrow my phone yesterday, and he forgot to give it back. It is still on the bottom of the river. :nilly: I'll have to get everyone's phone numbers again.
