Anybody have one? Anyone manage to breed them. I can only find the one occurance in 1989 but it seemed pretty easy, wondering if anyone has had luck or tried.

I've got one cool lookin fish, but really inactive even for a catfish. I also asked if anyone was keepin them an got no response. Do you have one or are thinkin bout gettin one. Mine's about 3 1/2 inches can't wait till he hits 7 inches. I tell you one thing for them they aren't easily intimidated. I had originally tried puttin him with the big boy's, but my Hybrid is used to his current tankmates and any new addition is fare game. So when I added the Chaca he was all over him, but the Chaca didn't turn tail an run even though within seconds he was in the Hybrid's mouth. He struggled free and proceeded to open his mouth an went head to head with the Hybrid who by the way is approx 11 inches. He was so amazingly aggressive it stunned the Hybrid who just slowly backed off from this small, but obviously crazy fish. I did remove the Chaca though cause no matter how brave he is the Hybrid would eventually get the better of him probably when the lights off. The Chaca's now livin happily with 2 Asian Redtails, 3 Jaguar cats, 2 False Jaguar cats and a Ompok.

Hmm... well worth asking.

And thanks for the welcome back bass

Just thinking of getting one. I just found some stuff on them online and really like them. Do you know what their growth rate's like?
