Hey does anybody know anything about breading Chaca chaca or Chaca bankanesis cause i am just addicted to these little guys and I wanna get a ton more cause I have one of each right now. So if anybody had bred these little guys or knows anything more about them than what is on planetcatfish plz tell me! Thanks a bunch!

Has any one kept these i guess. I mean how do you wean them off feeders cause that is getting kinda expesive.ANY sugjestionsm, storys, and info about these sweet fish is appresiated! Thanks I need all the help i can get!

I think there was an article writen in the early 90's on breeding them 92 or 94 i think. I was looking at planetcatfish.com the other night for info on them. I have been pondering getting one or two myself.

i wonder if you could wean them onto thawed frozen foods with time. Should be a little cheaper and less chance of disease transmission.

Mine used to eat earthworms no problem;)

My LFS bred chaca chaca when I used to work there. It was really cool. The tank wasnt kept up too well. Alot of algea. Unfortunatley I do not know the water perameters or even the temp. I just remember seeing the babies. tiny! None of the babies made it though.:(

There's only 1 substantiated breeding instance. I think it was a bare bottom tank with a tube of some sort.

My chaca chaca eats frozen bloodworms, in fact he ate 10 minutes out of the bag.

Just come back from my lfs and they had a tank full of large C bankensis:)
