i saw a beautiful chamelon the other day he was about 8" tail included what size tank would i need to hosue one this size for life, also while i was at the local reptile shop the tank with the cham in also had a thrilled gecko in and large waxxy tree frogs can i keep these as tank mates for life.

It depends on what kind of cham it is. I wouldnt keep them in a tank though. They can injure their tongues on the glass, Best bet is a mesh cage. Most lfs can get them.

Sweet but wouldnt a mesh cage lose heat and they were crested chameleons. Any one got pics of there cham setups for some ideas.

If it is a veiled, they get about 2 ft long so remember that with cage size, if you want something to hold, etc chams arnt the way to go. They are very sensitive and get stressed very easliy. Just handling them can cause extream stress for them. They are great for a reptile that you mainly observe

Hmmm i see whilst i was in the shop i saw a famialy who had one which was very aggressive to them as they handled it alot. if i have to out my tortoise i will think about getting one are if not are them thrilled geckos good pets to handle.

That aint a good combo and chams aint animals to handle:nilly:If you considering them do lots of reserch as they arent the easiest reptiles

Sorry not thrilled gecko crested an he did look quite happy haha ill prb give the cham a miss i have not kept any sort of lizard before so i will probably try something a bit easier to care for first.
