hi there, i ran a search but found nothing, so i posted in hope of attracting other peeps who mabye hav kept their chameleon's secrets... so anyone have any info on these little guys, like average sizes, best breeds for 'pets' and what not... im not thinking of one, well thinking is good fun, but from what i can gather they are not for rookies?? also, could anyone point out the smallest species? and are they legal here in Scotland? thanks in advance

they are legal, and plenty of people keep them. just google chameleon care and there will be lots.

and boooo scotland in general

Veiled chameleons are the best beginner species.
I am currently runnig a breeding program producing about 5000 per year and can give detailed info on breeding, husbandry etc.
I don't want to post all of that info unless someone needs specific help.

I would agree that veiled chameleons are the best chameleon to start with and i there max size is about 24 inches. the smallest chameleon is the pygmy leaf chameleon and they get about 1.5 inches.
