Champsochromis caeruleus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
o my god im in love with ur big venustus its so nice.

yer i had the opposite problem with my neochromis male he got beat the crap out of him so i had to get him out of my 150g tank and hope he survived as he's the only adult male in the UK so i wanted him to live, but after about 1-2months i reintroduced him with some other fish and he's staked out his own teritory and bred once so far which i hope isn't going to be the last time.

o yer i got an egg tumbler to day aswel

I think it might just be a case of the straw and the camels back--even without the Trout--your fish are growing and maturing--=more agression. Adding a fish definetly changes the dynamics--sometimes in subtle ways. This is why guys like us are forced to buy more tanks. Keep a close watch.

Well like I said before I don't mind getting him back (*remember what I told you when you got him :)....

He will do fine, but, your best suggestion would be to remove the bucco too so they don't fight once he is introduced. Either way should be fine but I always remove the 2 fish that are causing problems.

Just a comment here.. when you get your tank with a good balance, forget the offers to sell your nice fish for large sums of money, forget the tempation to get a cool new fish. It's going to take me 3-6 months to be where I was 2 months ago. The more you leave well enough alone the better.. don't rock the boat!

Amen. Good luck.

Hey fishfreak! I know you're good for taking him back! It's getting down there that's the issue, and I really want to make him work.

To all.. when I removed him, the tank settled back to it's normal level. No more 'terror' in the tank. I have the 'bad' fish in a 20 gallon right now.. he's not happy, but he's going to stay there until he had to reenter the tank as the new guy.

Also to fishfreak.. my Exo and Milomo are doing better in the 125g... The exo is starting to come around... when they both appear 'strong' and eating well, I'll probably move them back at the same time as the Champ.
