think the barbels should grow back though it would take a while. but i think it shoudl grow back since there's some of it left
the shredded fins should be good as new in no time

Ditto. My aro had a tail that look like it was shredded by a paper shredder machine. I was surprised it healed in 2-3 days.

Since you're probably not willing to scratch the barbel roots till bleeding ( theories that it helps barbel regrowth ) it is a maybe, like it would be with mine..

Who cares about barbels, anyway?
