Beautiful...both the fish and the tank. Are you using a pair of spotlights to illuminate that tank? The pattern of illumination, dark and light areas, makes for a spectacular effect. Nicely done!
 
Thanks! Yes, I use 2 Philips Expert color PAR30's with high CRI to bring out the natural colors, and then a couple of full spectrum 4k lamps on the outside fixtures (edit: I'll try to snap a pic of the setup later today).

Admittedly, I edited the top right corner of the most recent pic because they were reflecting off of my bald head shining on the glass...but the fish is all-naturall :)

Just saw the photo in post #10...outstanding! That would have gotten my vote for Photo of the Year, in a heartbeat. You should enter it this year.!

I agree. The picture came out great! Definitely POTM worthy!
 
Very nice! I want to try that sort of lighting arrangement sometime; the effect is terrific. :)
