Has anyone kept these cichlids?
Pictures or videos of adults?
Is their personality like red devils or midas cichlids? If so, the idea of an 18"+ one of those is pretty cool.

Here is a recent thread on this form with great information... and pretty pics...
Thankyou, I was looking through that, wanted to see if anyone else would answer :]

search it.
Already had, just wanted to see more opinions and pictures

In my experience on forums... having multiple threads on the same topic at the same time just encourages people to repeat themselves, although most people will not. So in the end there is the same amount of information, just spread out and harder to find.

It's not like someone will see your thread and respond who didn't see the other thread. They are in the same folder.

I'm not trying to be rude or harsh, just sharing my thoughts...

Any input I could offer on Chancos I offered in the other thread already, so your already familiar with it ;)

A pair would be fine in a 180. If your planning on mixing up the stock you'd better be careful which fish you put with these guys. Like stated above...these guys are very aggressive, especially during spawning.

Tug knows these fish far better than I, so I'm not dissaggreeing, just sharing a thought...

With many of the larger more aggressive species the pairs often need to be divided due to excessive aggression. With these guys being highly aggressive fish compared to other aggressive fish... I would have to imagine having a divider on hand is at least a good idea.

Thankyou for the advice, I was planning on keeping a divider handy after reading about their aggression, I'm looking forward to finding out just how aggressive they really act :]
