Sorry didn't want to put a downer on your tank , just think fish look brighter with sand and you have got some pretty special fish.I looked after tsn for my brother once untill i saw him eating tankmates, greedy little barsteward.

thanks, not just you almost everybody has that same response!:D

I will probably add a little more sand back....Like a few handfuls.

thanks,
I feed every day! I feed mainly frozen shrimp, earthworms, and mussles, and sometimes cut fish.

The tsn, will be going into a pond soon, but he will have to hit 18-20" before i will be moving him.... THe bigger CK needs to slow down because he is growing much faster than any of my fish...He will be as big as yours next year.....lol

nice animals! I like sand, but I been wondering if bb is the way to go for cleaner water. cleaning 100% of the poo every day might be more efficient than just 50% every couple weeks when you have sand or gravel. Maybe I'm just layzzeee. natural VS cleaner and convenient. let us know how it turns out. looks super clean man!

Nice fish and tank. I've had tanks in the past, bare bottom and substrate, and can attest to the ease of maintenance with bare bottom. However, I can't help but feel that the tank is cold, bare, laboratory-type deal. I guess I'm a sucker for elaborate driftwood and plants haha.
