Changed up the tank yet again

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Does the NGT remain active now or still tend to hide in a corner? Just wondering as I'm down to one piece of driftwood now and still my Tigers hide by it, but I'm not sure if removing this will cure this.

He definitely swims around the tank a lot more now. I also think he has become a little less of a fin nipper towards my Cichla. I think at night, when a Cichla would go near his hiding spot, be would nip at them and do a little damage to their fins. Now he has no hiding spot to protect, and I haven't seen any new damage to my Cichla's fins.

Awesome tank I really like the way you have it set up the contrasting sand against the brightness of the river rock is really kool great looking fish too

Wow, nice tank, NGT, Temensis (correct me if im wrong), polypterus and Odoe.
What do you feed the Odoe?

Thanks! It is not a Temensis. It is a Pinima. They do look pretty similar at this size though. The Odoe mainly eats frozen shrimp. He will eat frozen silversides as well.

Tank looks good as do the fish. I love the look of that Odoe

I appreciate it Brian. I went to DTFW today, and they have two Odoes around 8 inches or so:naughty:.

pinima's looking awesome! (as are the rest)

I don't actually care for the white rocks, I would just leave it with sand only, JMHO. But it's your tank :D. What bass is that in pix 10-13? The mono's from golden fish? I'm going to do the same and switch out the red sand in the 210 for black :D

hijack....what else at DTFW? /hijack

Dude, have you been drinking? The bass in 10-13 is the Kelberi:D

The other one is the bass I bought as an Ocell at Fish Palace.

Thanks for the constructive crtitcism of the tank. The rocks were just put in their, so they will become darker with algae and look more natural.

That is cool that you are changing the sand in the 210 to black. The red is sweet, but I think I like black the best.

Not many other monsters at DTFW. The rays, the silvers, the odoes, a breeding pair of red bay snooks, some funky looking characins that kinda look like silver dollars but the body shape is different. They had a cat labeled as something different, but I think it is a Juruense. I am tempted to pick it up if it's not snagged before I get a chance. I thought maybe I glimpsed a Tigrinus in their ray tank, but it dissapeared under a piece of driftwood. It could have been another Juruense. And another cat in with the Snooks that I think might be a Niger, but I might be wrong.
