changin 55 to salt

i have a emperror 400 and a bio-wheele 200 .... how much wud a protien skimmer be on a 55 ???? and do i already have enough filteration for a salt tank?

do not use bio wheels for SW they clog up with gunk and end up making more nitrates that cleaning. just the filter pads with the carbon is enough, the live rock will work to denitrify the tank.
a good skimmer will run about $60-80, get the impeller driven ones not the airstones, they work ALOT better.

how about lights i have a basic light for a 55 not ny special high powerd one ...will it be ok?????? i wanted to put in a dwarf lion and mayb a small eel???? how wud tht work out????

if you only intend to keep fish and crabs and snails and stuff the reg light will work fine. a dwarf lion AND an eel is a bit of a stretch on your filtration, so i say either or there.

about how big do thoes dwarf lion fish get?
