Changing to bare bottom.

I believe all fish enjoy having some sort of substrate in their tank. As there are no bare bottom lakes or rivers. And bare bottom aquariums dont look nearly as nice as a sand or graveled aquarium. Grow outs and hospital tanks should be bare bottom

You missed a spot right in the middle :)
I suggest removing that too.

I like bare bottoms as they're much easier to clean.

For me I like to have nothing in the tank but the fish to make it more roomy even tho it won't look as good.
This just my opinion.

Haha I will when my FX5 goes in right now I have an HOB and if feel safer with the room in a canister for BB. At least there's something for now. Trust me I'm liking this way more already I just gave them BW and massivore and wow I didn't realize how much they miss usually lol now it's all right there on the bottom and there eating so much more lol.

It's for sure easier and it also lets them eat a bit more sense it doesn't get lost in the gravel. Cleaning will be a breez:)

Its better to leave some in like you did. If you removed it all at once it may have caused the tank to spike. Looks better...But I too enjoy a bb tank. Especially for my growouts. BUt recently I did my 225g about half sand and I really like it. The pumps and power head blow it to where they perfer it and that causes it to be stirred up constantly...not trapping so much debris.

Yeah that's why I didn't take it all out and I'm kinda liking it lol. When I do my big tank in going canister more than Likely so I'm up in the air on that to do there.
