well really trying to get some practice in with my new camera ,so thought now would be a good time to do a update on the aurantimaculata , he has settled in well and has now fully accepted the asiatica ,they now hang out together most of the time , if all stays this way i think they will be ready to be moved into the temperate tank in a few weeks , only hiccup i have had is both of them tried to jump last week hitting themselves on the glass sliders damaging there mouths in the process ,however they are both healing nicely ,this was despite having lots of plant cover and lots of hiding places ,so i have now put in floating plants for extra cover and they seem fine . they both hang around at certain times of the day with the micros and are never far away from the poly's , both took approx 1-2 weeks to start feeding after the move but are now eating great (lancefish prawns meal-worms crickets sardines the asiatica has took a few pellets but the aurantimaculata has yet to show any interest in them) , neither has attacked or eaten any of there tankmates yet despite being a lot bigger than some of them (i.e the reds and convicts)

anyway here are a few pics , enjoy

Hello mate, i would suggest starting a thread in the general section asking if anyone is from your home country, then if they know of any channa in the area, failing this, do you not have any fish shops around your area? ask if they can get some for you,
good luck

Hi tropheus how are your fish doing and hows your tank right now. Still living peacefully?

Maybe some new pics
:p
