1. cloudy eye

A pair of channa bleheri have cloudy eyes both...
I thought PH troble of water or bacteria infection cause cloudy eye.
so I tried to put bacteria medicine in my tank and I tried to change water twice of a week.
but still they have cloudy eyes..

2. Dispute
I can't know my channa bleheri's sex...
They be disputing sometimes...
(Bigger size channa bleheri bit other and other ran...)
I want to realize that they dispute because they have same sex
or because my tank is small.

help me plz...
thanks.:)

Hi,

dont mind, not all members here are born english speakers !

Why do you know its a pair when they havent bred yet ?
Its not unusual that channa the same sex and raised together stay peacful (mor or less) together. C. bleheri is very peacful amongst channa, and what you tell really sounds as if they are the same sex and just fight a bit for territorys.

sexing themis a bit difficult, females have a bigger belly and males have a broader head, their head looks like a mouthbrooders head, but infact C. bleheri is not a mouthbrooding snakehead.
Both sexes are coloured the same.

Cloudy eyes often come and go when there is lots of Ammonia in the tank.
But waterchanges should help.
C. bleheri dont car much about PH-level. But they often fall for bacterial infections whgen kept at tropical temperatures all the time. You should give them a range between 17 and 23°c over the year to simulate summer and winter (rainy tike an dry time) .
feed them various (mainly shrimp and insects)

Your tank looks good, but it needs some surface plants, Channa love to hide under them , and they feel secure when covered from above.
In the first video they seem to be a bit shy, caus the open water on the surface.

I hope that they breed so I got a pair of C.bleheri...

I'm giving them 22°c now and I have fed them blood worms, meal worms, hik*ri arowana and small live fish...

I'll try to get some surface plants and continue to change water...

I have learned a lot from your posts..
Thanks for your help.
