Hi guys, new memeber here.. im quite new to snakeheads.. just purchased them last week from shop. i put three of them together in 60cm*30cm*40cm
(i dont intend to breed)

when the first time i put them. 2 of them keep fighting jaw lock until i realize that 1 of them is channa stewartii so move the stewari to another tank.. now there's only 2 bleheri in 1 tank. but the bigger one who previous fight with stewarti keep hitting the smaller bleheri when they meet.. the small one keep running away... what should i do? should i take the small one out? or any suggestion? it has been 4 days since the hit and run.
thanks guys

Hi, keeping two snakeheads in a tank together is a bad idea! Unless they are a bonded pair. Your tank is too small imo, and you should give them a 90cm tank and fill it with plants and lot's of hiding spaces. Old pot plant pots, driftwood, rock 'caves' etc are essential if you are going to keep just two. Even then there will still be conflicts from time to time. Or you could give them a tank each. Good luck!

thanks for the reply:naughty: but i couldn't increase my tank size coz my landlord won't allow me..
or Should i just change the small snakehead to other fish? since i know quite well with the shop owner? or add 1 more rainbow snakehead but i don't think my tank is big enough for them..

yupe.. i just change the small bleheri with a bichirs.. love them no more fighting in the tank.. the only problem that i have to buy a new tank for my stewartii.. gg.. thx..

Hi,I agree that the tank is small for bleheri, you need a bigger tank and more specimens to keep them living in peace.

It's Polypterus ornatipinnis.. yea i know that but that is the biggest i can go for.. since no more room in the house that landlord allow me to have.. lols.. can the bleheri(11cm) n bichirs(11cm) tolerate it for around 8months? wish i can go back home earlier..:nilly:
