Luckily for me, snakeheads are virtually everywhere in Singapore, drains, rivers, canals, reservoirs, etc. Even fish markets sell live ones (usually Channa micropeltes or Channa mariulius) for food!

. We also have lots of common snakehead here as well, they're a actually a delicacy, pretty tasty when cooked right.
Ups for snakeheads! I'm a fan of these torpedo-shaped predators. I'm currently eyeing an oriental snakehead for my collection. 
im fairly new to the whole snakehead craze and didnt know they were illegal ova here. no wonder the guy laughed when i asked him how much it was for a channa micropeltes. DAMN IT !!!!!! i want one so bad 
I enjoy looking at them...they r like velociraptors in jurassic park, always looking at you and calculating. I got an 10incher so it still yellowish with the 2 black strips. When it moves around the tanks, it reminds me of a stalking leopard. And they r fast fish so get a big tank to enjoy their speed.
