He's in a 29gal with a divider. The fish is still jumpy and crazy. There is nothing in the tank to stress out the fish other than guppies for feeding. I'm so frustrated and still have no clue why the fish act like this.

he may not have discovered the divider yet, have patience dude as long as it begins to feed the jumpiness wouldn't matter..:) My marulia is jumpy as hell but as long as it feeds when i'm not around its all good...

Thanks for the help. I moved to his separate tank and two days later I discovered he has some type of flesh wood. The tail rotted and skin is peeling like a snake. Unsure what disease it is I decided to use some Melafix to see if it will fix it since this is a open wound.

wheres the wound located? the skin peeling might be slime coat thickening up, which means its stressed out you can add some salt to the water to minimize bacteria and to aid in the healing process....post some pics,i hope its ok...:)

I woke up the next day with the gachua dead. All the skins had disintegrated and it was laying flat on the tank floor. The cause of death could only be two reasons. Either he got sick and I was unsure what type of disease it was or I over dosed on Melafix. Is 4 teaspoon for a 29gallon too much?

you cant overdose on melafix IMO...it probably was sick internally, or had a parasite in its scales..anyways dose your other tank with a little melafix just to be safe...sorry for your loss :(
