I don't remember hearing snakeheads to be illegal in Canada although they are of course banned in USA. As far as dojo loaches, I doubt they will survive the predatory species.

I did more research. two bottom dwellers, one a predator, the other virtually defenceless.

Larger plecs?
I know I can't keep commons, but any smaller large plecs/cats that wouldn't be attacked? Armor does help against predators, as does being bigger.

thread getting pretty old now, but anyways - I have a spotted armoured cat at about 3", together with my 8-9" gachua, and even though its taken clean bites the only dmg visible is the dorsal fin being a bit torn. Armor works better than one would think
