And could you tell me its maximum size.:grinno:

Thats a new one. never heard of a blue striped channa as a trading name. Trading names suck :-( Helb us out with pictures, that show the whole fish from the side, all fins visible. Cheesr Brucki

yep a GOOD picture is a must for this thread , blue stripped could mean a number of fish , the exporters are really going to town on these commen names latley , and most the time they bare no real commen sense to the fish there trying to describe , iam sure with good pic one of us will give a 100% i.d.

cheers col

HI col, and the word "blue" in the trading name is always a must ;-) "asian blue" "blue bleheri" "true blue" etc Cheers Brucki

Rox, youre the man, you can ID this.
Thropheus you are just a pure genius!

Now guys help me out here.

Hi........

This is something marulia like.........

Maybe marulioides!

Size: around 70cm

If it is a marulia than it can reach a size of 120cm!

So cross your finger that it is a marulioides!

Cheers
Pascal

well thankyou jakob , but the real channa genius has just answered your question , as pascal said it is either marulioides or marulia complex , and is two small to give a 100% i.d. on , it could be just showing some stress ,or its getting markings early ,but i would not expect marulioides to show much pattern at that size , here is a pic of mine below as comparison , however time will tell , either way he is going to be either a very big guy or a massive guy
