I recently got some nice looking juvi`s of Channa Obscura and after a week or two now I have noticed what looks like their skin has bubbled or maybe a white patch or what I would describe as a growth on the left cheek of not only one but two and now yesterday I seen it on 4 of them. I have started Peimafix and Melafix for the whole group but I am left wondering f anyone has had these guys before and came across what I have recently found ? Also does anyone know if Channa Obscura are tolerant of salt ?

All Snakehead are intolerant of salt.. I wouldn't try treating with that
Is there any fuzzy on the white marks? If yes, it's fungus infection and would continue treating with both the medicine you mentioned.
If the white spot moves around the body, it's parasite and I would remove and put it in a bare tank for the moment.. As the parasite might infest the plants in the tank.
Is this one kept alone? Or you have multiple ones in the same tank? Might be caused by fighting between each other and they bump into dw in the tank?
I'm not really sure.. Just my thoughts. Maybe others can help :)

I know we chatted, already but if it's fungal/bacterial or physical my advice would be the same , stick with the Pimafix & melafix , can't remember if i suggested warm temps, but keep the temp up as well so they are nice and warm, 84-85 ish.

Any progress on these guys?
It definitely looks different than the fungus that I'm dealing with. In the second set of pics, it kind of looks like an abscess or something?
Sorry I can't offer any help.
Good luck.

still here after 7 days and one of the worse two looks like it has gotten worse ! I dunno All I can do is continue the treatment maybe salt ?
all the channa are still eating like monsters ?

DSC04776.JPGseems like a few may be getting a little better but one is worse than seems a little better but still has a huge growth or fungal on its face.

It doesn´t look good...
Shoot an MP to Aquanero. Maybe he can help as well and he is very knowledgeble in fish diseases.
With DC and Aquanero together you´ll be in the best hands

Can you post your water perameters? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph, Kh/Gh if available & Temp. Are there any tank mates? If so what? Is there any way you can get a clear picture of the affected area? Any and all info will be helpful.
