Hi,

last Thursday I recognized fresh hatched fry from my pulchra.

The babies are 4mm long, and some couldent even swim properly (normal at very young age). They were transparent, and I had troubles to get ONE shot, you can see anything on.

OMG. Congrats! Are they substrate spawners, bubble nest builders or what?

Hi,

Channa have floating eggs. Some are mouthbrooders, some guard the floating eggs on the surface. But no bubble nest, sometimes a "colection" oof floating plant parts with the eggs inbetween

C. pulchra are not mouthbrooders.

BTW, the yellow round bubbly things on the baby pics are decapsulated artemia eggs as first food for th fry

HI,
