That looks like channa kerala sp 5 stripe. A subtropical indian species
should eat anything appropriate that fits in their mouth, 18-22C, 6-8 Inches max length

I agree with this, I am not an expert and I can't have them but I love channa. Get it some hiding spots or more plants to help it feel more comfortable. Tank temp could be an issue if it's to high, doesn't get much over 90f in the area they come from in the summer and it gets cold at night especially in the winter.
