Very much south..
It seems they shows up recently in Glaser, Germany, but the minimal info out there is conflicting.

Even Glasser gives conflicting info, in one place stating they could be in the Striata complex and in another place stating they could be Argus related.

In size they state that they could go anywhere between 40 cm and 90 cm which, admittedly, is confusing.
As to locale there is no indication whatosever.
( but they suer are beautyfull and i ordered a trio )

Any Snakehead savant has any piece of valid info on these guys, please?

I had never seen them before, but with the few pictures that I was able to find, it looks like C. Argus. Be sure to share some photos when you get them.
Good luck.

I just hope they were Argus related...find them too colorfull with those orange fins, in any case, mfor Argus.

Are there any other pic's of one showing the yellow fin ? I only see one pic from above. the side shot's look a lot like other platinums I've seen.

did u see the black fined platinum that was just posted ?

Nope. Saw no Black Fin...

What they state in their site is that they develop and get more beautyfull and colored as they mature.

The shown specimen was a bigger one passed on to them by their supplier.

But, at the end of the day, they know zilch. Could at least state where they hail from...see nothing Argus like about them in those pix...

I will have to wait and see and fly by sight with those...

well I got on the phone with Glaser, in Germany.

They hail from China ( via a wholesaler in Singapore ). China fits the description Auranti gave of his. I am convinced that this SP White Pearl Lemon is very similar to Auranti's Platinum.

They also said, in Glaser, that now they are convinced they are Argus related.

Well, at long last I managed to get hold of one of those....

Beautyfull.

As soon as it entered the tank, never saw it again, though.....:(

Very nice, Do a ray count on the dorsal fin, that's the easiest way to id the species when they are platinum.

I saw these available recently as well ALMOST ordered a few, but i dont want to bring them in not knowing the species.

I will try to, Devon.

The more i look at it the more Striata it looks. But completely different from the " albino" ones that sometimes pop up.m
This guy has a metallic sheen. Awesome.
