Blue or Channel?

i had 3 channels but one passed so now i have a 5'' albino channel cat, 8.5'' normal channel cat (i dont like calling them blue channels because only the males are blue and it reminds of the Blue cat x Channel cat hybrid) and a 9'' Lima Shovelnose and i feed the frozen bloodworms with the occasional rosey reds. Ever since i jacked the temp. in my tank to suit the Lima Shovelnose which was 4 months ago my normal channel cat chases my albino really fast and nipps his fins. He is very agressive and chases and eats any live food put in tank immediately even with lights on.

mine used to go after my pacu's all the time. thats how he died actually getting rough and broke the heater. he was 24" though so he knew who was boss.

mine just hides under his rock ledge only moving sligtly out if theres food

they get aggresive during the spawning season. if they have a hiding place that they usually inhabit and another fish comes near they will bite and attack defendingd their "nest" so that a female may come deposit her eggs.

I used to own a channel cat. They are extremely docile....UNTIL you throw in another catfish!

My channel cat was the most docile thing I ever saw...one day I thought it would be really kool to throw in a Brown Bullhead Catfish that was a little bigger than him and he went ape sh** on the bullhead.

I had to get rid of the bullhead the same day I got it before the channel cat killed it.
