Yeah I've caught channels on decent sized frogs lol, I was considering a "golden" channel when my LFS had em but I keep my tanks at 82 so no go

Good luck FF! My uncle kept a pond of various channels (gold albino regular) and it was pretty cool

I dont think it will ever be able to get ahold of a 24 inch clown knife or my other 300 stock... I may try a monster coldwater setup one day with koi and channels though... We will see...

I think your 300 will do fine for a couple of years and then youll have to upgrade or move him into a pond, a good tank mate is a similarly sized Drum and Largemouth Bass.

Its just amazing to think this harmless delicate little 3 inch fish becomes a huge 3 foot fish eater! I am still shocked looking back on my clown knife when i got him at 3 inches!
