Well, there are numerous threads where members are able to show pics of the channel catfish's, South and Central American cousins, but why no thread of pictures for our Backyard Natives!

I purchased a 4" albino channel catfish today, and would love for members to share their experiences, as well as pictures in a thread dedicated to not only Channel Cats, but North America's native cats as well.

I have one (albino) that is 8-10 inches and is one year old. It is in the pond, though, and I don't get to see it very often.:( I'll try to get a pic if I can.

I'll have to get pics of my babies. I have a Blue Channel thats at about 4.5" and an Albino at around 2.5-3"
My Blue is a lot more active than my Albino, but both are more active than your normal catfish I guess... very fun to watch, and man do they eat!
I put guppies in my catfish tank, and the two channels work together to herd them into a corner then take turns eatting the guppies. It's a blast to watch

Between the quickness of my channel and my crappy cam and camera skills a pic would be pretty pointless...but I've got a blue who's maybe around 8" or so. He probably grows between 1-2" a month so look for fast growth.

i just bught 2 3-4" albino channel catfish (bubbles and wiskers jr.) and bubles is alot more active then wiskers jr.

Same boat as Jeep, mine is in the pond. Put him in @ 3", saw him this weekend, and is now a good 2" bigger. I will post pics. if I can, but will have to wait til spring.

mine is probably around 5 inches. he is fairly mean to all the other fish and quite the food hog. only time i can get a pic is when he is hiding under the log.

My albino is 7-8" and was a wuss when I first got him and after the summer came by I put him in my little pond. Every since he came out of the pond and into my tank he has been a lot more aggressive.
