Yeah, the fish will eventually puke it back out, no worries. But if he still hasn't after 3 weeks or so then you should either contact a vet ($$$) or you can try to make him vomit. Vomiting also requires a water change.

You can over feed it so it pukes. But you will need to do a big wc and clean up the water because it will foul the water up.

Mine took 3 days to puke it out don't worry because it is a foreign object to the fish's body, he will puke it out juz like us humans

No, the RTC will never learn. I hope the OP learns a lesson - do not have anything swallowable and inedible in an RTC tank.

Usually, if an object cannot pass from stomach into intestine, it is regurgitated. If the fish does not or cannot regurgitate the object, human help is needed in a form of massage or manual reaching in and removal. If the object passes into intestines, the fish will be dead - speaking from experience having lost RTCs before to plastic plants.

It's been only two days, from I can piece together. It appears peers had waited even up to a week. What size is the RTC? If it relatively small and the cup is relatively big, I doubt the cup could pass from stomach into intestine. Pictures might help us help you too.

If too worried, try to massage the cup up to the throat and try reaching into the throat with tweezers and pulling it out, but this is not easily done without sedating the fish with clove oil because the fish will be struggling and you can injure it.

I've never heard of overfeeding in this circumstance but if the fish has an appetite, maybe it is possible, but then the reverse may be possible too, the passing of the cup into the intestine. Then caput.
