great looking fish

Thanks everyone, counting on growth to pick up since adding the jets, high swimmers have already picked up their hunger from what I've seen this feeding. Armatus is starting to dwarf everyone else.. hope he stays calm *crosses fingers*

is that your armatus in your avatar?

No actually this armatus was owned by Koltsix, a recent mfk member. Picture was originally taken in 2011.
Just happens my Armatus looks almost identical to it so I used as a reference pic ;)
Only difference is mine is a bit fatter, too much hobo cuisine :P

That is a very nice collection you have there. Thank's for sharing.

Thank you,

So I decided it wasent enough current yet and bought another jet, this time a Korilia 1400 from big als which should put me right under the 10,000gph mark. Will post updates as the fish get used to the current and change behavior.

How long does it take before you notice their temper going back to normal after adding in a additional powerhead. Mine has changed preferences completely, and hasnt eaten in a week. Im hoping hes still just adjusting to the new current, and is most likely on a long hunger strike (shed alot of teeth this week).

Adding a new powerhead should only change their behaviour for a short time before they will go back to normal swimming around etc. The change i was referring to is how aggressive they seem to be when swimming and seeing prey in the faster flowing waters. Though when they shed their teeth they usually wont eat and will be more docile than usual. If that's what you were wondering

Im not quite sure whats going on with him. Sits in one of two spots all day, wont come up to the glass when I show him his food jar (all my stock know the food container and get excited when they see it), doesnt budge when food flows right infront of his face. He wont do anything! Lol its been like that for about a week now. All I did was remove an old powerhead (about 4 years old) and he became soo reluctant to do anything. He still swims around the tank, going from spot to spot that he likes. Im starting to worry. Nothing has changed in this tank other than the powerhead, water params are all in check, I added some salt just for safe measure, and last month (before these issues started), I did a precaution treatment of Prazipro (i do this about every 6 months).

Im going to try and get a new powerhead this week if I can, things have just been too busy around the house lately to get out and go shopping for fish stuff.
