charcoal 110% taste wise.
but sometimes if im home alone and need to make something quick the propane is just easier and faster:(

and anytime i can i smoke stuff :D

Agreed. Charcoal taste great but there is the preparation time. When in a hurry, propane is a quick option. Also, hickory wood chips make for great tasting meat.

I prefer propane because it burns cleanly and its easy to control temperature. Something turns me off about squirting lighter fluid into the BBQ and then cooking on it. :screwy: And as far as taste goes. I prefer the taste of the meat with my choice of spices and seasonings over the inevitable taste you get when using charcoal. Depending on how the meat is spiced I find the charcoal flavor is more often then not a turn off.

Just my opinion:chillpill:

Just a FYI

No need to use lighter fluid with one of these!

You can also make one out of an old coffee can.

Another good charcoal starter is newspaper or even a candle with charcoal placed over it.

I prefer the taste of charcoal and coconut charcoal rocks! Great taste! It only takes 30 minutes until it's ready to cook over too!

I understand the need and time savings of propane though.

I ve used both.... but for some reason the charcoal always leaves the better taste....
