Charcoal or Propane when grilling. Which one?

Agreed. Charcoal taste great but there is the preparation time. When in a hurry, propane is a quick option. Also, hickory wood chips make for great tasting meat.
I prefer propane because it burns cleanly and its easy to control temperature. Something turns me off about squirting lighter fluid into the BBQ and then cooking on it. 
And as far as taste goes. I prefer the taste of the meat with my choice of spices and seasonings over the inevitable taste you get when using charcoal. Depending on how the meat is spiced I find the charcoal flavor is more often then not a turn off.

Just a FYI
No need to use lighter fluid with one of these!
You can also make one out of an old coffee can.
Another good charcoal starter is newspaper or even a candle with charcoal placed over it.
I prefer the taste of charcoal and coconut charcoal rocks! Great taste! It only takes 30 minutes until it's ready to cook over too!
I understand the need and time savings of propane though.
